Before South Bend, Faran reported for WIFR (CBS) in Rockford, Illinois. While in The Forest City, she covered the campaign of Congressman Adam Kinzinger, the anniversary of a tornado that hit the small town of Caledonia, and some of the most infamous murder trials Rockford has ever seen.

Faran is a proud Purdue Boilermaker, graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
