In South Bend, Faran has covered stories including:
  • Fighting Irish football and the construction plans to the new stadium and the installation of AstroTurf
  • ESPN's lawsuit against Notre Dame to make their campus police records public

Some of her stories include the latest in Prostate Cancer research, technological advances in hearing aids, and the latest cardiology studies involving children and energy drinks.

While Faran was the Morning Anchor for FOX28, she created and branded "FOX28 Fashion Fridays," with stylist Danny Reynolds, covering all things fashion including the latest trends, beauty tips, reviews of celebrity styles at the Oscars, and how to pack for Spring Break.

Before South Bend, Faran reported for WIFR (CBS) in Rockford, Illinois. While in The Forest City, she covered the campaign of Congressman Adam Kinzinger, the anniversary of a tornado that hit the small town of Caledonia, and some of the most infamous murder trials Rockford has ever seen.

Faran is a proud Purdue Boilermaker, graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After her time at Purdue University, Faran went on to North Central College, making school history as the first female “play-by-play” reporter for WONC 89.1FM, covering all things sports - including football, basketball, and baseball. She also was the first female invited to co-host “From the Upper Deck”, a weekly sports/talk radio show - always hosted by men. Faran also produced and voiced commercials for WONC.

Faran has danced professionally for the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Rush Arena Football Team, and the Chicago Slaughter Indoor Football Team, coached by Steve McMichael, Bears 1985 Super Bowl Defensive Tackle. Faran was also the Captain of the Purdue Dance Team, helping the team win a 4th Place National Title in 2008.
