The world is crazy right now. We could all use a dose of faith, peace, and love. It seems like all there is lately in the news is tragedy, hatred, and violence. This has to stop. We have to make a change. I’m afraid for the future of our world if people don’t lay down their issues, anger, and weapons, and trade them in for kindness, compassion, and love. Everyone’s focus seems to be on their own needs, their own hurts and pains, getting revenge, and proving a point so that their voice can be heard. But the one voice that we cannot hear right now is the voice of God. The most important voice. Maybe that’s the problem. No one is listening to the creator of love and peace.
And if God to you is a God that tells you to hurt or kill others, that is not God. Because GOD IS LOVE.
The meaning of love is written beautifully in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8… “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails”.
People have been trying to take God out of the world for a while now, and this is what happens when you start to remove God. You remove love. We try to take God out of our schools, out of the world, we have to be aftaid not to “offend” anyone if we say the name GOD or JESUS. But look at what is happening now because we removed those names from our lives. The world became more violent, chaotic and hateful. Once we removed God from the places he belonged the most, our protection was gone. When we become a Godless society, everything falls apart and evil prevails. Which is exactly what we see happening in the world right now. But it’s not too late. We can embrace God again and ask him to come back into the world and into our lives. He is the only one who can heal the deep wounds of pain and suffering with his unconditional love and mighty power.
We all need to just take a deep breath and exhale. Push the pause button, and for once, listen to what God has to say. We get so angry when no one is willing to listen to us, and that’s what we do to God. We are not listening to his cry for us to love one another. God has a message so strong that we desperately need to hear, and none of us are listening to him. If you have been angry recently because no one is listening to what you have to say, then you know how God feels. I ask that we all listen to God. He has the power to make the whole world hear when no one else will listen.
If we all just heard what God had to say for a change, our lives would be better, and the world would change too. We have to get love back into our hearts and lives. So today, I’m making time for God. And I hope you do too. I’m going to listen close to what he has to say and learn from him. I will do my part to love and respect others, and I pray that very soon, before more tragedy strikes, the whole world will hear that without love, and without God, we cannot survive.
If you’re going through a tough time right now, and think that God has abandoned you, I can assure you he has not. The Lord works in mysterious ways, and he sometimes uses the strangest people or things to let us know he still loves us and is listening.
